March 02, 2008

Now I'm missing weekends. Has been gloomy these 2 days. Good time to emo, right shir?

Anyway, I had a great weekend with my buds. Waiting for another to come by. Another busy week ahead before the weekends arrive. I'm counting down the days before its Gatsby no more.

Grad trip to Genting/KL: Day 3

We managed to sleep more than 10 hours before meeting up everyone as we played everyone out. LOL. We left the Genting hotel in an utter mess, with the smell of Kian's socks being the most distinctive before leaving for KL. Really pity the room cleaners.

Nice view on top of Genting!

we were at it again

Left for KL in 2 vans. The pressure difference was the first thing you'll feel. My sinus started to let loose and that left my nose running like a tap. Kian started to cook up some stories about the driver releasing some nerve gas to knock us out before leaving us in some deserted place when he noticed that we were seemingly traveling away from KL. But no one believed his shit when we saw our hotel. Talk about luxurious, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

oh look at the bathroom. Great place for you-know-what.

great view if there were pretty girls in bikini running around

Wasted no time from there. We walked over to Sungei Wang and proceeded to ransack the whole mall for the best deals, which was supposedly SUP MAN. Other than the vintage tees, the other stuffs weren't what I really expected.

Then proceeded to food street for dinner. Forgot the street's name but it looks some kinda like Chinatown's food street. You know you know? The food is awesome I tell you. Stingray with meat on both sides for just 20RM, prawn mee for 4.50RM (what-the-fuck?) and fried rice (big plate i tell you) for just 5RM! Eat like siao. That was a time everyone kinda overspend on food. And some even risk being called thick-skinned to keep stealing food from the others. Well, maybe they ARE thick-skinned. heehee. Practically went on a frenzy mode over there.

Bother bother bother, some of the fellas made the rest of the innocent lads wait for them to bent over 10 names into a keychain. Boring stuff. At least we managed to get back to the hotel to have some really shiok stuff. Yeah thats right. Its the bubble bath!

That's a bit overdone. But who cares. I enjoyed every minute of it inside. So comfortable that I almost slept inside.

Never too old to play with a little bubbles huh?

Asian edition of Tunak Tunak in the making

he didn't get to bathe in the bubble bath. look at how pissed he was.

After having a beer session, it was back to dreamland to conserve some energy for the next day.

Grad trip to Genting/KL: Day 4

Woke up way way way before those pigs. According to Kian, Law was inches from poking into his ass. Yet they managed to oversleep for breakfast. But once we reached the place for breakfast, the lethargy from them was suddenly gone. The stuff from the buffet were really great, and the spread on our table taken by the both of them was even better. I absolutely gorged myself silly from the food.

Next up was some PT to relieve ourselves from the pressure in our stomach. Went for some basketball shooting action in the basketball court (YES, basketball court in a hotel! Now how cool is that). Didn't do much, just slam dunk a few times and played some shooting.

Kung Fu Dunk II

After that, we got ready for shopping again. This time, Pete, Law, Kai and me went to Petalling street in a cabby while the rest went to Sungei Wang again. Another rollercoaster ride in the cabby.

It was just an eye-opener for me. A really disappointing eye-opener. All the stuff there were the same and I would say even Bugis Street is better. But we still managed to find entertainment listening to how the shop owners talk. On that street, you'll be handsome if you have money or you or if you wanna buy stuff from them. If you don't have money, this is what you get...

after bargaining for a little while..

Me: Maybe I don't have enough money for that..

Indian fella: Hey why you fuck me up brother. You not from India why you like that (?!). You hurt my feelings!

At that point of time, I didn't really know what to say. I was too afraid that he has some button just like deal or no deal, and when its no deal he'll press the buttons to mobilize his brothers from India. So i agreed to buy my stuff. After which, he proceeded to give me some crappy advice. Well, indians do have great advices all the time.

Back to Sungei Wang, I discovered Kian has switched to his another personality! He has split personality after all..

Brokeback in the making

Later it was COSMO. The ultimate theme park. Please, if you still feel like living a little longer in this world, then don't go in. The safety features here are 99% to fail and if you really wanna challenge yourself, make sure you've been training up few weeks before hand.

The horror themepark

The first ride. It looks totally ok and easy for starters. You won't realise its actually a huge centrifuge. Spins like siao for around how many minutes that makes you feels like its hours. The bar seems to be just a white elephant and I had to hold on to the bar for my dear life while it was spinning. I screamed like fuck but the ride attendant doesn't seem to care.

After that, no one smiled.

Another rollercoaster ride, which was kinda no kick. And maybe they sensed our haolian-ness, they sent us spinning 360, 720, 1080 degrees in that damn DNA mixer. 3 rides, 10 minutes getting our DNA mixed, even Pete got dizzy after that. Chinese people do have remarkable advices too. Pressing acupoints and eating sour plums. That's hilarious.

Some of the casualties were taken back to the hotel while the rest roamed around food street to feast again. This time round, we da bao-ed back to the hotel to enjoy the food at the comfort of our airconditioned rooms.

shir: 'this is not enuf!'. Proceeds to order more food.

this is what the girls do every night!

well actually, more than just the girls...

I was sleeping on the bed that day, admiring the beautiful view at night. The rest were playing cards and making a din. The professor was having a lecture about tactics on how to win card games.

The swimming pool which we missed out.

Grad trip to Genting/KL: Day 5

The last day of our trip! Got up early as usual to wake those 2 fellas up for breakfast before checking outta the hotel for last minute shopping in Time Square itself. Of course, some photo taking needed for memories.

My 2 lazy buddies

Our lousy timekeeping led us into frantically running for the bus which was leaving early for Singapore. On the bus, everyone was totally shagged out. On the way back, I was thinking back on how fast the 5 days went by with those crazy bunch of people. As we arrived in Singapore, there was a quiet moment and I knew everyone had this slight reluctance to leave each other. Yet, reality bites, and yes, that was the end of our graduation trip. Promise, that will never be the last chance of meeting each other. Love ya peeps! These lovely memories will be left etched deeply in my heart.
